FAQs
Do I need to be licensed/have a degree to be a volunteer?
We do not require any license, degree, training, or previous experience to be a volunteer. Your tasks at our clinic will be tailored to your comfort level and previous experience. Anyone is welcome to come and learn with us.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
You do not need to speak Spanish. For our trips to Spanish-speaking countries, the trip leader will be bilingual and will assist with translation as needed. Belize is primarily English speaking.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes. We will notify our local partners of any dietary restrictions prior to your arrival.
Do you have payment plans/financial assistance?
We aim to make our 1-week volunteer trips as financially accessible as possible. Therapy Volunteers International is a non-profit organization and thanks to our generous donors and partners, we have a limited number of scholarships available to help off-set the cost to participate. We also offer flexible payment plans. Ask us for more details.
