Colonial charm meets the wild outdoors in Ecuador. Serve the children at CRECER and meet your new favorite country on this Therapy Volunteer.
Nestled at the foot of its own volcano in the Andes mountains, the town of Ibarra is a perfect place to call home while adventuring in Ecuador. Work side-by-side with the clinicians at CRECER to help children gain confidence in their abilities and reach their goals. For excursion days, Ecuador boasts beautiful landscapes filled with volcanoes and waterfalls, charming historic downtowns, and some of the largest artisan markets in the world.

FAQs

Do I need to be licensed/have a degree to be a volunteer?
We do not require any license, degree, training, or previous experience to be a volunteer. Your tasks at our clinic will be tailored to your comfort level and previous experience. Anyone is welcome to come and learn with us.

Do I need to speak Spanish?
You do not need to speak Spanish. For our trips to Spanish-speaking countries, the trip leader will be bilingual and will assist with translation as needed. Belize is primarily English speaking.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes. We will notify our local partners of any dietary restrictions prior to your arrival.

Do you have payment plans/financial assistance?
We aim to make our 1-week volunteer trips as financially accessible as possible. Therapy Volunteers International is a non-profit organization and thanks to our generous donors and partners, we have a limited number of scholarships available to help off-set the cost to participate. We also offer flexible payment plans. Ask us for more details.
